Markers

 I’ve been intrigued by markers before and purchased some Ohuhu markers about a year ago but didn’t really learn any techniques that appealed to me. That all changed a few days ago when I purchased Albert Kiefer’s new book “House Sketching.” He goes into great detail with clear examples of how he uses alcohol markers in creating architectural drawings. 

I completed the first sketch in the book with the Ohuhu markers that I had previously purchased. The colors weren’t exactly what were called for but I was pleased with the results. Needless to say, I went all in and ordered the colors that Albert recommended and WOW!!! I love the results and the manner in which he suggests you layer colors to create dynamic drawings. 

I plan to work through the remaining examples in his book and get some experience with using markers with architecture drawings. These really create a beautiful look and are quick and fun to complete.
